Why an attorney may be needed to get your suspended license back.

In Arizona, a person's license is suspended if they receive two or more DUI's within five years. The minimum suspension is a one year period. This means you can ask to have your license reinstated at the end of one year. It does not mean that the MVD must give you your license back at the end of one year.

As a lawyer, I have seen many cases in which citizens have requested their license but have been denied reinstatement by the MVD. In every case I have been involved in, I was able to request a hearing, and in the end, have a judge order the citizen's license reinstated. Ethically, I cannot guarantee results but, if you are in this situation, I am confident I can help you.

Also, if your license has been suspended for one year, I recommend preparing your reinstatement paperwork three months in advance and submitting it 60 days in advance of the one_year period. That way, by the time MVD processes your paperwork, the one_year will be up and you will be ready to drive without losing any additional time. If you wait until the one year is up, it will take 60_90 days to get a decision from MVD.
